OUR MANIFESTO
At the SRM Foundation, we stand at the forefront of advocating for and championing the cause of a properly structured green energy transition. Recognising the urgent need to address the challenges posed by climate change, we assert that transitioning to a sustainable, green energy system is not merely a choice but an imperative for the well-being of our planet and future generations.
The SRM Foundation’s wide-ranging grant-making programme will be governed by a Board of Trustees, who will identify organisations with significant impact in their areas of operation and consider and approve grants. The Board of Trustees consists of two (2) Viaro Group board members to ensure that the funds are distributed in line with the donation scope and four (4) independent and intransigent trustees that will ensure that the projects selected are within the foundation’s scope of activities.
OUR TRUSTEES
The SRM Foundation’s vision and strategy is spearheaded by its chief executive Francesco Mazzagatti. As the CEO of Viaro Energy, a UK-based independent upstream energy company, Mr Mazzagatti is a vocal advocate for the importance of energy security in the transition to sustainability. This is reflected in Viaro Energy’s operations, approach to its ESG responsibilities and his personal involvement in the organisations promoting industry best practices towards a properly structured energy transition.
In parallel with Mr Mazzagatti’s efforts to exemplify the role of traditional oil & gas providers in the energy transition, the establishment of the SRM Foundation represents his contribution to a long-term vision for a more sustainable future. The SRM Foundation’s projects and initiatives will pave the way for an inclusive workforce equipped with the skills required to contribute to the new face of the energy landscape, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Net Zero by 2050 initiative.
